Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support property operations, perform repairs, and prepare units for occupancy. The role requires hands-on handyman skills, knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, and a commitment to safety and reliable on-call service.

You will maintain tools and inventory, respond to maintenance requests promptly, and uphold a professional appearance while ensuring a secure and well‑maintained property environment.

Qualifications

• Maintenance/handyman experience required.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
• Ability to operate hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Daily repair and upkeep of property and vacant unit preparation.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand and shop kept secure.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Maintain professional appearance and wear appropriate uniform.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
• Be available for on-call responsibility.
• Remove snow and ice as needed.
• Handle lock-outs related to evictions and 24‑hour service responses.

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician!

Maintenance Technicians Maintain the efficient operation and upkeep of the property buildings and grounds in a supportive role.

Responsibilities include:

• Take responsibility for the daily repair and upkeep of the property and the preparation of vacant units for occupancy
• Maintain and keep an inventory of all supplies and equipment
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents
• Maintain the required property uniform ensuring a professional appearance
• Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times
• Be available to work on an on-call basis
• Secure the maintenance shop(s) at the close of every workday
• Remove snow and ice as necessary
• Handle all lock-outs as a result of evictions and take responsibility for 24-hour response to service requests

Requirements:

• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
• Property maintenance/handyman experience

Compensation:

Full-Time $ 20.00 to $ 22.00 per hour
