Job summary

Magna International in Toledo, Ohio, seeks a Maintenance Technician for second and third shifts to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment. The role requires strong experience with PLCs and six-axis robotics, with an emphasis on preventive maintenance and safety.

The candidate will develop PM schedules, monitor equipment installations, and keep detailed logs. An associate degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing maintenance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Extensive knowledge of programmable logic controllers.
• Experience with six axis robotics.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Total Preventative Maintenance principals to develop and implement a PM schedule for all manufacturing equipment in the facility.
• Attend pre shift and post shift crossover team meetings.
• Perform daily start up and shutdown procedures.
• Repair any manufacturing equipment in the event of a failure.
• Maintain a spare parts inventory for all manufacturing equipment.
• Perform necessary in-house projects and keep an up-to-date log of timing.
• Complete required paperwork (shift notes, PM logs, work order documents) as instructed by Team Leader/Manager.
• Monitor installation of new equipment by contractors.
• Maintain and improve 5S standards.
