Job summary

Barenbrug USA, INC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee production machinery performance and assist the Maintenance Manager with upkeep of the facility. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and improving equipment across packaging lines, including seed dumping, blending, conveying, filling, bagging, sealing, and final packaging.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 4 years of experience working with mechanical systems.
• 4 years of experience in a safety role.
• Forklift certification required or able to be certified.
• Technical training or LME certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and performance of production machinery.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and improve facility maintenance and packaging equipment.
• Work on seed dumping, blending, conveying, filling, bagging, sealing, and final packaging.
• Apply knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment.

Description

The Maintenance Technician will oversee the performance and maintenance production machinery and assist the Maintenance Manager in upkeep and maintenance of the facility. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving overall facility maintenance as well as production equipment throughout the packaging process, including seed dumping, blending, conveying, filling, bagging, sealing, and final packaging. The ideal candidate will have experience of troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• 4 years of experience working with systems in a mechanical capacity.
• 4 years of experience in a safety capacity.
• Must be forklift certified or can be certified.
• Technical training, apprenticeship, industrial maintenance certification, or LME certification preferred.
