Job summary

Taylor Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain printing equipment across the facility. The role emphasizes proactive maintenance and effective communication with team members and leadership.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Observe, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair printing equipment and related components.
• Set up and operate drills, grinders, welders and other tools to repair presses and parts.
• Operate forklifts and/or scissor lifts with required safety gear.
• Initiate purchase orders for parts and maintain records of purchases.
• Perform preventive maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure performance.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and managers daily.
• Provide a daily summary email of open and closed maintenance tasks to leadership.

Your Opportunity

Taylor Corporation is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic Technician.

Work Authorization

To be considered for this position, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship for a work visa now or in the future.

Your Responsibilities

• Observe, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair printing equipment, press parts, electrical problems, and other equipment throughout the facility.
• Set up and operate drills, grinders, welders, and other necessary tools and equipment to make and repair presses and component parts.
• Operate forklifts and/or scissor lifts while wearing required safety equipment.
• Initiate purchase orders for items necessary to repair or replace component parts or other related equipment and maintain all records related to those purchases, including retention and filing of receipts.
• Perform preventive maintenance functions on equipment according to scheduled maintenance programs to help prevent breakdowns and ensure equipment performance.
• Work constructively and communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and managers while performing daily responsibilities.
• Provide a reliable summary email of open and closed maintenance tasks to leadership daily.
• Keep office and shop areas organized and clean according to company guidelines.
• Maintain attendance according to facility guidelines.

Your Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday - Friday

You Must Have

• Ability to read, interpret, and understand work orders, parts orders, safety regulations, operating procedures, and other job-related written documents.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees throughout the facility.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Requirements Within This Position

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products, including print materials.
• Frequently required to move throughout the facility.
• Regularly lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 25 pounds or more.

We Would Also Prefer

• Previous industrial machine maintenance experience involving electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience maintaining printing equipment, preferably Comco or Mark Andy presses.
