Job summary

Enerstaff, LLC in Sycamore, AL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform installation maintenance, repair of electrical equipment, test circuits, and update power, light, electronic and control circuits. The position runs on the 2nd shift, 2:45pm-11:45pm with OT as needed, start ASAP.

Responsibilities include electrical troubleshooting on industrial equipment, diagnosing PLCs, VFDs, automation systems; program and modify PLC logic; configure motors, MCCs; read schematics; uphold safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree, trade school, or advanced electrical certification preferred.
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Electrical troubleshooting and repairs on industrial equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve PLC, VFD, and automation issues.
• Program, modify PLC logic under engineering direction.
• Maintain and troubleshoot VFDs, soft starters, MCCs.
• Update electrical schematics and documentation.
• Lead root-cause analysis for recurring failures.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, reliability teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.

Maintenance Technician

Location: Sycamore, AL 35149

Shift: 2nd Shift

2:45pm-11:45pm with OT as needed

Pay: $25-$33/ hour

Start: ASAP

Position Summary

Performs a wide variety of functions such as installation maintenance, repair of equipment for generating, distributing, and utilizing electrical energy. Uses instruments to test circuits, replace or install new power, light, electronic and control circuits.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical troubleshooting and repairs on industrial equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues involving PLCs, VFDs, automation systems, and advanced control circuits.
• Program, modify, and optimize PLC logic under engineering direction.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain VFDs, soft starters, and motor control centers.
• Interpret and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Lead root-cause analysis for recurring electrical failures.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and automation upgrades.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and reliability teams on improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge

• Knowledge of AC/DC systems, three-phase power, and industrial controls.
• Troubleshooting skills for motors, drives, PLCs, and automation systems.
• Ability to read, interpret, and update complex electrical schematics.
• Strong understanding of ladder logic, function block diagrams, and control logic.
• Strong mechanical understanding to support multidisciplinary troubleshooting.
• High level of safety leadership and adherence to electrical standards.
• Background heavy industrial environments.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial controls is also preferred

Education, Training, and Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree, trade school, or advanced electrical certification preferred
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
