Job summary

Camping World is seeking a Service Technician for our growing team. We are looking for someone with advanced diagnostic and repair skills for RV coach systems, generators, and coach body repairs.

A successful RV Technician will be detail‑driven, self‑motivated, and open to gaining additional certifications through Camping World. You will perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance maintenance, document tests and repairs, track parts, and keep supervisors informed of progress.

Qualifications

  • Certification in a trade field is helpful, but relevant work experience is also considered.
  • RVIA certification is helpful but not required.
  • 1+ year service technician experience or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and document complete diagnostic test and repair or replacement services to customers.
  • Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance maintenance.
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
  • Keep supervisor apprised of work progress.
  • Ensure final work meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.

Job description

Camping World is seeking a Service Technician for our growing team.

We are ideally looking for someone with advanced diagnostic and repair skills for Recreational Vehicle (RV) coach systems, generators, and coach body repairs. Someone who is passionate about fixing mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and maintenance problems would be ideal. A successful RV Technician will have strong attention to detail, be self‑motivated, and be well‑versed in all maintenance and repairs. Camping World will pay to certify individuals who are not already certified. If you have experience in any or all of these following fields, we want to talk to you: Plumbing‑Carpentry‑HVAC‑Electrical‑Mechanical‑RV Service.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide and document complete diagnostic test and repair or replacement services to customers
  • Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance maintenance
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements
  • Keep supervisor appraised of work progress
  • Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor or designee
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers
What You'll Need To Have For The Role
  • Certification from college or technical school in a trade field (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Maintenance, etc.) is helpful, but applicable work experience is also considered
  • Minimum of 1‑year service technician experience or related fields preferred
  • RVIA certification helpful but not required
  • Potential exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment
  • Possible exposure to environmental conditions including heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, and wetness
  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending
  • Must furnish own hand/shop tools
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs with assistive devices
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • May lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs with assistive devices
  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending
  • Exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment
  • Environmental conditions include heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, and wetness
General Compensation Disclosure

The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Camping World, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below.

Pay Range

$22.00‑$53.48 Hourly
