Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Utah is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift to service CNC machines and manual tools. You will repair, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment running at peak efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of CNC experience, PLC familiarity, and the ability to read wiring/ladder diagrams. You must own basic tools and possess a strong work ethic, with the physical ability to stand, climb, and lift as needed.

Job description

Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintenance of CNC 3, 4 and 5 axis horizontal and vertical automated milling machines and manual machine tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair machines, manual and automated.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities to keep machines in good repair and identify issues prior to breakdowns.
• Diagnose issues and develop solutions to ensure maximum machine uptime.
• Lubricates and cleans machines.
• Starts devices to test their performance.

Required Skills:

• CNC and manual machine maintenance experience.
• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience.
• Mechanical and electrical background in repair/maintenance of manual/automated/semi-automated machinery.
• Experience with preventative maintenance activities.
• Ability to read wiring / ladder diagrams to aid in the troubleshooting and repair on basic systems/machines.
• Have own basic tools.
• Strong work ethic.
• Self-driven.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years with various CNC machines.
• Facilities repair experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand on your feet 8 hours, 5 days a week.
• Ability to SAFELY and efficiently climb ladders and get in/out of machines.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds.
