Job summary

Koozie Group in Sleepy Eye, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and repair plant equipment and systems. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, design modifications, and support the installation of new equipment while ensuring safety and efficiency in a climate-controlled environment.

The role offers training on 1st shift, competitive pay starting at $22.00 per hour and up, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401k with match, PTO,

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent manufacturing maintenance experience.
• One year bindery or print equipment experience.
• Must train on 1st shift for the first few months.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair physical plant and equipment.
• Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Design and modify equipment with quotes, plans and schematics.
• Provide data for maintenance system (labor, inventory usage, procedures).
• Operate power equipment to perform maintenance tasks.

Education

Job Summary:

To translate the company vision, mission, and strategies into functional activities within the Maintenance area. Under limited supervision, performs scheduled and non-scheduled repair of equipment, systems, and the facility.

Essential Job Functions:

ØTroubleshoot and repair physical plant and equipment problems

ØPerform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and the physical plant.

ØDesign and build new equipment or modify existing equipment, which includes providing quotes, drawing plans, schematics, and other assorted documentation.

ØSupply necessary data for department information system, including information on labor, inventory usage, and repair procedures.

ØOperate power equipment as needed to perform maintenance duties.

ØPerform or assist in machine set-up.

ØStore and maintain department tools, supplies, equipment, parts inventory, and manuals in a clean, safe, well-organized manner.

ØAssist with the installation of new equipment and the development of appropriate set-up and repair procedures.

ØProvide technical information for the purchase of materials/parts for facility and equipment maintenance.

ØPerforms mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair

ØEmployee must have knowledge and an understanding of the NFPA 70e Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace. These competencies will be certified through an audit prior to authorizing the employee to install, maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems.

ØComply with Koozie Group's EHS policy.

ØWorking knowledge of ISO 9000 and 14001 procedures.

ØAbility to stand for long periods of time and freely move about the plant as well as bend, twist, grasp and perform repetitive motion tasks properly to work within and around machines. Ability to lift up to 45 lbs occasionally to frequently.

ØMust be willing and able to take call and respond to call-in needs as scheduled. Position rotates on shifts, works overtime, and weekends as necessary.

ØPerform duties in a safe manner using approved safety equipment and observing safe procedures at all times.

ØMaintain an effective working relationship with fellow associates.

ØSupport teamwork through active participation.

ØPerforms reasonably similar or related duties as assigned.
