About Saks Global

As a Maintenance Technician you support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more.
• Maintain a positive working relationship across the Operations facility.
• Track and store department inventory.
• Move up to 50 lbs with regular bending, lifting and reaching, as well as push and pull wheeled dollies up to 100 lbs, during shifts lasting up to 12 hours with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
• 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• 2+ years of experience repairing material handling equipment.
• Ability to work in distribution environments that may be noisy and, if necessary, on roof‑top equipment in extreme temperatures.
• 1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
• 1+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
• Self‑starter with the ability to work independently or with others; demonstrated ability to multi‑task and prioritize multiple projects.
• Understanding of SDS (Safety Data Sheets) information.
• Background or experience in conveyor and forklift operation and repair.
