Job summary

NALS Apartment Homes seeks a Maintenance Technician for Talavera Apartment Homes to handle service requests, make-ready tasks, and turnover of vacant units. You will also maintain pools, grounds, and the maintenance shop, with responsibilities across indoor and outdoor work and on-call rotations.

The role requires 1 year of multifamily maintenance experience, plumbing and pool/spa knowledge, and a valid driver’s license. Compensation includes on-call pay and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of multifamily maintenance experience.
• Painting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of building systems and unit turn process.
• Knowledge in plumbing and pool & spa.
• Familiar with appliance repair, electrical repairs, and basic roofing repairs.
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance may be required.
• 40-hour work week with on-call rotation; weekend availability required while on-call.
• Able to work inside and outside in all weather; capable of lifting up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform service requests, callbacks, and/or work orders promptly.
• Complete assigned maintenance make-ready sheets.
• Turn vacant apartments.
• Maintain pools and spas, including chemical testing and furniture cleanliness.
• Maintain property grounds, workplace, and maintenance shop.
• Respond to after-hours calls and emergencies.
• Perform additional duties, responsibilities, or projects as assigned.

What you will do

Requirements

• Previous painting experience preferred
• Skills relating to all building systems
• Knowledge and understanding of the unit turn process
• Knowledge in plumbing and pool and spa
• Familiar with appliance repair, electrical repairs, and basic roofing repairs
• Valid drivers’ license and current auto insurance may be required
• 40-hour work week, including on-call rotation; weekend availability required while on-call
• Working inside and outside in all types of weather
• Medium to heavy work, requiring prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting to a maximum of 100 lbs., with frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs.
• Good hand and eye coordination are essential, including the ability to ascend and descend ladders and stairs, and perform repetitive/continuous tasks according to set procedures and sequences
