Job summary

Lokring seeks a Maintenance Tech to handle day-to-day maintenance of the facility, with support for machine maintenance under experienced techs. The role covers preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and basic plumbing/carpentry tasks across building systems.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in manufacturing maintenance, strong problem-solving abilities, and experience with electrical/mechanical repairs. On-site work with safety and housekeeping focus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer the preventive maintenance program for equipment and machinery.

• Conducts prescribed preventive maintenance on machinery and building systems.
• Maintains a preventive maintenance program within budget; covers heating/AC and building equipment.
• Maintains SDS per OSHA and Right to Know program.
• Uses hand and power tools, meters, and material handling equipment.

Maintenance Tech

Responsible for the day-to-day activities involving maintenance and upkeep of the building/facility, security and overall facility appearance. Some support of machine maintenance will be provided under the advisement of experienced machine maintenance technicians.

Duties & Essential Job Functions

• Development and administration of the preventive maintenance program for applicable equipment and machinery.
• Performs special projects related to building, grounds, equipment, machinery and processes
• Performs a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Performs prescribed preventive maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.
• Maintains a preventive maintenance program within the confines of an annual budget. This includes heating, air conditioning, as well as maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
• Retrieves and dumps the scrap metal many times per day to maintain space in the chip hoppers.
• Move parts as directed by the Production Manager.
• Maintains Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in accordance with OSHA standards and as part of the employee "Right to Know" program.
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in order to perform maintenance duties.
• Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating, etc.).

Other Functions And Responsibilities

• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Maintains timely and accurate records and reports, as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Enforce sound safety and housekeeping practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple complicated priorities and tasks.
• Knowledgeable in all phases of building and equipment maintenance.

Required

• Five to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to logically solve technical problems with minimal supervision.
• Strong aptitude with numbers, figures, and measuring equipment. Ability to use a calculator.
• Previous maintenance and manufacturing experience.

Preferred

• Electrical and/or Mechanical Certifications
