American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. is opening a state-of-the-art Charlotte Distribution Center and is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep facilities and equipment in safe working order.

You will perform a variety of technical maintenance tasks, lead equipment moves and new installations, and support site startup activities as needed. We offer opportunities for growth and ongoing developmental training in this role.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical trade experience is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of industrial (distribution) maintenance with corrective/breakdown experience.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Must follow set safety procedures and guidelines.
• Self-motivated, responsible and safety-oriented with time management skills.
• Must earn and maintain PIT and Yard Truck certifications.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors, including inclement weather.
• Knowledge/certification in First Aid/CPR and AED.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, powered hand tools and electrical test equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow SOPs.
• Fabrication/welding experience is a plus.
• Flexibility to work all days and shifts, including overtime.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Google Suite knowledge is a plus.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY: As a Maintenance Technician at our new, state-of-the-artCharlotte Distribution Center, you're the "go-to" when it comes to keeping our facilities and equipment in safe working order. You will perform a variety of technical maintenance and service functions on equipment, systems and facilities in our distribution center. In this role, you will also spearhead equipment moves and new equipment installations. AEO offers multiple levels of opportunity for Maintenance Technicians based on skill and experience. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical trade experience, a plus
• Basic knowledge with industrial (distribution) maintenance; corrective/breakdown experience
• Ability to follow instructions
• Must follow set safety procedures and guidelines
• Self-motivated, responsible, safety-oriented individual with time management skills.
• Must earn and maintain Powered Industrial Truck operator certification as well as Yard Truck certification
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, including in inclement weather
• Have knowledge, understand, and keep certification on First Aid/CPR and AED
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, powered hand tools, and electrical test and measurement equipment
• Ability to understand and follow established SOPs
• Fabrication/welding experience, a plus
• Flexibility to work all days and shifts, including overtime on request
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, a plus
• Basic knowledge of Google Suite, a plus
