Job summary

The Springs Living in Salem, Oregon is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our community safe, comfortable, and beautiful for residents and guests. You will work hands-on maintaining buildings, equipment, and grounds while supporting a collaborative maintenance team.

Ideal candidates have prior maintenance experience, skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC, and a valid driver's license. You must pass a background check and be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience (building, apartment, or facility maintenance)
• Skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or related trades are a plus
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and to stand, walk, or bend for extended periods
• Basic computer skills for work orders and communication
• Dependable, adaptable, and motivated to learn
• Able to pass a background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Maintain the exterior areas, including lawns, flower beds, walkways, and parking lots.
• Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance throughout the community—resident apartments, common spaces, HVAC, pool, fitness, and kitchen areas.
• Safely operate, store, and track maintenance tools and supplies.
• Support the Director of Plant Operations with daily maintenance needs and project planning.
• Safely drive community vehicles as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols and respond promptly to maintenance requests.
• Demonstrate professionalism and respect when assisting residents, staff, and families.

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
