Job summary

Wixon, located in St. Francis, WI, is hiring a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated production equipment including robotic systems and packaging machinery.

The role requires a strong background in PLCs, HMI, and robotic programming. The Senior Maintenance Technician will work with production teams to optimize equipment performance, perform preventive maintenance, and document repairs in the CMMS.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or journeyman status in Electronic Technology - Automation or related field.
• 3+ years of experience maintaining automated manufacturing equipment.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMI systems, and industrial controls.
• Experience with robotic systems and programming.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Program and maintain PLC systems and HMI interfaces.
• Troubleshoot and repair robotic systems and end-of-arm tooling.
• Maintain and calibrate sensors, motors, and control systems.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance.
• Assist in training personnel to operate, maintain, and the setup of production machinery and equipment.
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate repair records (CMMS).
• Respond to emergency breakdown situations.
