Job summary

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. in Port Arthur, TX, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, routine, and corrective maintenance on pumps, compressors, and turbines using SAP CMMS, with a strong safety focus.

You will collaborate with technical staff, supervise contractors, manage parts inventory, and support plant turnarounds while adhering to process safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical apprenticeship or trade/technical degree desirable.
• Ability to obtain Crane Lift Supervisor qualification may be required.
• Familiarity with compressors, turbines, multistage pumps, valves, coolers, and fans.
• Knowledge of industry safety regulations and operating practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on pumps, compressors, and turbines.
• Ensure all plant mechanical equipment is safe and reliable to meet performance targets.
• Maintain maintenance records and prepare reports.
• Collaborate with technical staff and management to resolve equipment issues safely and effectively.
• Oversee contractors to ensure work meets company standards.
• Initiate purchasing requests to maintain inventory of replacement parts.
• Assist with storage and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Provide support during plant turnarounds.
