Inframark is seeking a Repair/Maintenance Technician I to support our Operations and Maintenance team in Mississippi. The role performs preventative and corrective maintenance on water treatment equipment under supervision, with opportunities to learn and grow in a dynamic, safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities include assisting the Lead Technician, keeping work areas clean, compiling maintenance records, and participating in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 0–1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to write simple letters or emails and follow written/oral instructions.
• Willingness to learn and assist in team environments.
• Prior water or wastewater treatment facility experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist Lead Maintenance Technician with maintenance tasks.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Prepare maintenance rigs and tools for daily operations.
• Repair or replace pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, and other components.
• Maintain records and documentation of work orders and tasks.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance tests and inspections.
• Adhere to safety policies and health procedures.
• Work all shifts including weekends, holidays, evenings, and on-call rotations.
• Other duties as required.

JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of equipment to extend its serviceable life. This entry-level role supports facility operations by performing preventative and corrective maintenance under guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assists Lead Maintenance Technician in executing maintenance tasks.
• Cleans and maintains tools, equipment, and assigned workspaces.
• Prepares maintenance rigs and tools for daily operations.
• Repairs or replaces pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, belt presses, and other mechanical components.
• Maintains records and documentation of work orders and completed tasks.
• Performs routine equipment maintenance tests and inspections.
• Adheres to all company safety policies and health procedures as they relate to essential job duties.
• Available for all shifts including weekends, holidays, evenings, and emergency on-call rotations.
• Other Duties as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to write simple correspondence and follow written/oral instructions.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and assist in team-based environments.
• Prior water or wastewater treatment facility experience preferred.

Education And/Or Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 0-1 year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred).
• Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) certification or ability to obtain.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairways safely.
• Must be able to pass a fit-test for Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
