Maintenance Technician at Capstone Logistics, LLC.
Pay: $28/hr - $33/hr depending on experience. Shift information: 1st Shift (M-F 05:00am-1:30pm) and 2nd Shift (M-F 1:00pm-9:30pm); 3rd shift may be available in our 24/7 operation. Location: Woodbridge Township, NJ (Onsite).
Job description: Capstone Logistics is seeking Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance activities that ensure smooth and efficient operation for our partners in a material handling facility. The work environment is fast paced and requires routine interaction with other employees. Ideal candidates must be available to work any of the shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) and have a strong electrical/mechanical background and the ability to pass an assessment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC and DC electrical equipment, including batteries, control stations, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches, timers, servo-driven equipment, photoelectric devices, transducers, VFDs, and encoders.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and transfer plates.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace pneumatic equipment, including diverters, lubricators, hoses, and coils.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace hydraulic equipment, including hoses, fittings, cylinders, and pumps.
- Weld equipment such as handrails, conveyor supports, package handling equipment, carts, and grating as defined by the scope of work.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections on plant equipment, including conveyors, bulk carts, and power industrial equipment.
- Reassemble machines after repair or maintenance work; start machines to verify operation and detect issues.
- Inspect or test damaged machine parts and determine repair needs; lubricate or apply materials per procedures.
- Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments per production specifications; dismantle machines for repair with appropriate tools.
- Record maintenance information and read work orders to determine parts and tasks; coordinate with others to repair or move equipment.
- Inventory and requisition machine parts and supplies and manage transport of parts between areas as needed.
- Perform cleaning of machines and parts using appropriate methods and materials.
- Performs Additional Responsibilities As Assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in maintenance or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience.
- Strong organization, interpersonal, and communication skills; attention to detail; ability to solve mechanical problems; working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of hand and power tools; willingness to use a personal phone for work tasks (e.g., Microsoft Teams, email, pictures, video).
- Physical ability to lift up to 81 pounds; ability to work in a warehouse environment; ability to wear PPE including eye/face protection and respirator if required.
