Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a contract role based in Plano, TX, to join an automation/robotics-focused team. You will support builds, installations, and full-systemTroubleshooting while performing electrical diagnostics, testing, and data collection.

The role requires 3+ years in automation/maintenance, strong electrical knowledge, and hands-on wiring/assembly skills. Experience with Restaurant/QSR or Food Equipment and PLC basics are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in automation/machinery maintenance or electrical troubleshooting.
• Strong electrical knowledge and hands-on wiring/installation.
• Willingness to build/prototype and test solutions.
• Experience with Restaurant/QSR or Food Equipment is helpful.
• PLC basic knowledge.

A client is looking for a Maintenance Technician who is passionate for growing their career in the automation/robotics industry for a contract role based out of Plano, TX. This position will join an innovation and engineering team and help oversee the following:

Responsibilities

• Support builds, installs, and full-system troubleshooting
• Perform electrical troubleshooting (wiring faults, sensors, I/O, power distribution)
• Execute test runs and collect data
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues, ideate and implement solutions to improve reliability
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
• Manage parts/materials inventory and maintain lab readiness

Skills and Requirements

• 3+ years automation/machinery maintenance or electrical troubleshooting experience
• Strong electrical knowledge
• Ability to wire & install & tear downs electrical devices (sensors, relays, motors, wire panels)
• MUST BE Hands-on & interested to help build/prototype and test solutions too!
• Restaurant, QSR, or Food Equipment experience
• PLC basic knowledge
