Job summary

Becton, Dickinson, and Company (BD) invites you to join our Plainfield facility as a Full Time Maintenance Technician. You will perform general maintenance, repairs, and housekeeping to keep our operations running smoothly.

Key duties include preventive maintenance on machinery and building systems, reporting defects to supervisors, and potentially working off-shift or weekends with on-call availability. This role supports BD's healthcare technology mission from Indiana.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Performs general facility maintenance, repairs, and housekeeping.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds, as required.
• Maintain MHE batteries, as required.
• Uses judgment to plan, perform, troubleshoot, and problem solve in performance of all maintenance tasks.
• May be required to work on off shift and/or weekends, and must be available for call in activity.
• Become knowledgeable of the responsibilities of the other warehouse positions. Assist as required. Act as back up at times of absence or vacation.
