Job summary

Grimco, Inc. in Owensville, MO, seeks a maintenance technician to keep production lines running smoothly. You will read manuals, perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance, and provide emergency repairs during production.

You will diagnose faults, document activities, and uphold safety with OSHA standards. A bachelor’s degree or technical experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with machine maintenance.
• Troubleshooting equipment and strong understanding of machine control logic.
• Attention to detail is critical.
• Safety conscious at all times.
• Reliable transportation to and from work (must have a valid driver’s license).
• Ability to take and pass pre-employment drug screening test.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance duties and responsibilities.
• Read technical manuals to understand equipment and controls.
• Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring, and testing instruments.
• Provide emergency repairs of production equipment during production.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and power tools.
• Controls downtimes by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Physical Demands

• Requires the ability to lift, push, pull and carry tools and warehouse materials weighing up to 65 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Requires prolonged standing or walking, frequent bending, stooping, and reaching daily.
• Requires the ability to climb ladders to pick or put away products.
• Requires a full range of physical motion to operate manual and electrically powered tools and machines (i.e., forklift)
