Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure equipment uptime for plastic injection molding machinery. The role requires diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and coordinating with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in maintenance across aviation, automotive service, HVAC, factory or facility maintenance.
• Preferred technical certification or associate degree in industrial field.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Preferred supervisory or scheduling background.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plastic injection molding machinery.
• Repair auxiliary equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors and other equipment as required.
• Modify, lubricate, diagnose and operate equipment; maintain industrial control system.
• Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safely.
• Facilities and building maintenance.
• Create repair reports and document parts and materials usage.
• Follow plant safety rules including PPE and forklift operation.
• Install new equipment; retrofit/upgrade existing equipment.
• Basic machining skills.
• Source parts and manage spare parts inventory for limited downtime.

Job description

I. Job Description:

The maintenance technician is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime by quick in-depth troubleshooting abilities and a world class preventative maintenance program. The desirable candidate must be able to work with others in a fast-paced environment, have a strong work ethic with a high attention to detail, and a get it done attitude. Uses the company’s ERP system to setup, manage, and maintain the maintenance schedule of injection molding machinery and equipment.

II. Required Skills:

• 5 years’ experience, to include but not limited to, in the following fields of maintenance: Aviation, Automotive Service Technician, HAVAC, Factory or Facility Maintenance
• Preferred: Technical certification and/or associates degree related to an industrial related field
• Must be able to read and decipher electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Preferred: Supervisory or scheduling background

III. Essential Functions:

• Maintenance of plastic injection molding machinery.
• Repair auxiliary equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at the facility as required.
• Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment. Maintain industrial control system.
• Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safely.
• Facilities and building maintenance.
• Create report(s) for repairs by the end of shift. Complete required paperwork, document parts and material usage.
• Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices, machine, and forklift operation. Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required.

IV. Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and random drug testing
• Must sign a confidentiality/non-compete agreement
• Capable of standing/walking for entire shift and must have visual and auditory capability in an industrial setting
• US Citizenship is required, and must have English fluent in reading and writing
• Physically able to bend, squat, twist, climb, reach and lift 50 pounds without assistance
• Must have a valid driver’s license;limited travel may be required
