Maintenance Technician

Sirius Staffing is seeking a reliable and hands‑on Maintenance Technician to support equipment and facility operations in a fast‑paced distribution/manufacturing environment in Whitsett, NC.

Pay: $19/hr.

Hours: 6:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and helping maintain a safe and organized work environment to minimize downtime and support daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on warehouse and manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshoot and assist with basic equipment repairs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
• Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner
• Communicate equipment concerns and repair updates effectively with team members
• Maintain inventory of maintenance tools, repair parts, and supplies
• Support maintenance and engineering teams with daily operational needs
• Operate equipment such as electric forklifts and scissor lifts as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing/distribution equipment and systems
• Basic understanding of motorized material handling equipment and electric forklifts
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced industrial environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PLC‑based applications in an industrial setting
• Experience with industrial electrical wiring, power distribution, or electrical systems
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic conveyor systems
• Familiarity with Zebra and Lexmark printers
• Knowledge of tooling and calibration services
• Industrial Electrician Certification
• Associate or 4‑year degree in Maintenance, Electronics, or related field preferred
