Job summary

Ocean Stone & masonry in New York is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities running smoothly. You will perform routine maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems and inspect the building for safety and reliability.

The role requires on-call availability nights and weekends, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven work ethic. Training is provided for mechanics inclined individuals who thrive in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• We will train; must be mechanically inclined.
• Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems.
• Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques.
• Available to be on call and respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekends.
• Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs
• Inspect the building for any structural damage to windows, doors, and walls and perform necessary repairs
• Keep a record of completed repairs and when the equipment was last serviced
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance measures to keep our equipment operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks
• Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed
