Job summary

JourneyPure At The River is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities safe, clean, and well‑functioning for clients, staff, and visitors. This hands‑on role covers a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to support a welcoming treatment environment.

You will perform general upkeep, respond to work orders, maintain grounds, manage supplies, and support safety drills with the Facilities Manager. Strong practical skills and dependability are essential to thrive in this role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in general building maintenance or related trade preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance duties including painting, electrical repair, wall repair, door and window replacement, lock replacement, telephone repair, and plumbing maintenance.
  • Handle all maintenance requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain clean and safe facility grounds including lawn care, parking lots, driveways, trees, and shrubs.
  • Keep an ongoing list of department and facility maintenance needs and supplies.
  • Order and maintain an adequate supply of cleaning supplies, towels, linens, and toiletries.
  • Make monthly inspection reports to support quality assurance activities.
  • Assist the Facilities Manager with safety and disaster drills when requested.
  • Report any safety hazards, broken equipment, or significant maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager promptly.
