Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician in North Carolina to maintain and repair production equipment and tooling, ensuring reliable operation on the shop floor.

The role requires hands-on experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, PLCs, and welding. Candidates should be capable of following preventive maintenance procedures and supporting machine uptime.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in manufacturing maintenance
• Experience with hydraulics and electrical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot PLCs; welding preferred

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust and repair production equipment and machines as assigned
• Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, change parts
• Test malfunctioning machinery and discuss repairs with head mechanic
• Install equipment and electrical components and test for proper function
• Dismantle equipment to access defective parts using hoists, cranes and tools
• Lubricate and clean parts to ensure proper operation
• Other duties as needed

Job Summary

This role is responsible for overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Head Mechanic.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, adjust and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts and complete tasks as assigned
• Test malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs and discuss with head mechanic for approval and repair as needed
• Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning
• Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools
• Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting performing manufacturing maintenance
• Previous experience in plant machine maintenance; hydraulics, electrical, ability to trouble shoot PLC’s, welding (preferred but can work around)
