Job summary

Brookfield Properties Multifamily LLC is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician responsible for a broad range of property upkeep at Millbrook. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical work, and machinery maintenance while delivering exceptional resident service.

The role requires 1–2 years of property maintenance experience, a HS diploma or GED, and strong communication and attention to detail. Weekend work may be required. On-site property discounts apply.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of required experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property.
• High School Diploma or GED required; trade certs are a plus.
• Preferred certifications include HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on property needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC repairs, cleanings, replacements and routine maintenance.
• Handle plumbing repairs, replacements, and installations (sinks, toilets, faucets, etc.).
• Carry out carpentry tasks: doors, shelves, countertops, locks, etc.

Job Description Overview

• HVAC: repairs, cleans, replaces, etc.
• Plumbing: repairs, replace parts, installation (sinks, toilets, faucets, etc.)
• Carpentry: repairs and installs doors, shelves, countertops, locks, etc.
• Painting: drywall/plaster repairs, painting
• Electrical/Appliance: lighting, wiring, power circuits, replacing switches, lamps, etc.
• Machinery: repair and maintain chillers, belts, pumps, fans, etc.
• Other duties as assigned
• Most importantly is the ability to provide exceptional customer service

Requirements

• 1-2 years of required experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property.
• This position requires a High School Diploma/GED.
• 3-4 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements for this position.
• Preferred certifications for this position include HVAC (depending on property), Electrical, or Plumbing.
• This position may require a valid driver’s license depending on the needs of the property.
• Required skills: self-motivated, team-player, communication, interpersonal, attention to detail, customer service, and personal accountability.
• May be required to work weekends - Saturday and Sunday.
• Computer and smart phone literacy required.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, for all work-related responsibilities.
• Multilingual skills are a plus.
