Job summary

YKHC in rural southwestern Alaska is seeking a maintenance worker to keep apartments and housing buildings clean, safe and functional. You will perform general maintenance, routine cleaning, snow removal and delivery of supplies.

Requirements: high school diploma or GED; at least one year in carpentry, plumbing and basic electrical troubleshooting; valid Alaska driver’s license; basic carpentry and plumbing tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in general carpentry, plumbing and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid Alaska Driver’s License required.
• General carpentry and plumbing tools used in this role.

Responsibilities

• Performs general, routine maintenance and cleaning tasks to maintain apartments and other assigned areas of housing buildings, units and grounds.
• Also performs snow removal and pickup and delivery of supplies and material.

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Position Summary

Performs general, routine maintenance and cleaning tasks to maintain apartments and other assigned areas of housing buildings, units and grounds. Also performs snow removal and pickup and delivery of supplies and material.

Position Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum Experience: One (1) year experience with general carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical troubleshooting.
• License, Certification, Registration: Valid Alaska Driver’s License
• Equipment/Tools/Word-Aids: General carpentry and plumbing tools.
• Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Operation of basic carpentry and plumbing tools. Cleaning, housekeeping equipment and general painting.
