Job summary

Dolben Company, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a high-energy community in Lynn, MA with 403 apartment homes. You will maintain the property, resolve service tickets, and ensure a quality living environment for residents.

Responsibilities include HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repairs, turnover work for vacants, and on-call emergency response while upholding safety standards. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance preferred.
• Ability to perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repairs.
• Willingness to respond to on-call emergencies and handle after-hours issues.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with software and apps.

Responsibilities

• Resolve maintenance issues across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repairs.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in through turnover repairs and improvements.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the community, including snow removal and ground maintenance.
• Provide residents with outstanding customer service and timely service ticket resolution.
• Work weekend/evening shifts and be on-call for after-hours emergencies.
• Follow OSHA standards and Dolben safety policies.

Job description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for being a great team member of this high energy community with 403 apartment homes in Lynn, MA. You will assist in maintaining the physical integrity of the community by always providing a quality living environment for our residents.

As a Maintenance Technician (MT), your primary responsibilities include:

• Showing care and concern for our residents through excellence in service ticket resolution and preventative maintenance
• Resolving maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair
• Preparing vacant apartments for move-in through turn-over repairs and improvements
• Preserving the safety of the community through general upkeep and cleanliness, snow removal and ground maintenance
• Providing residents with outstanding customer service
• Working weekends or evenings and being on call for after-hour emergencies
• Operates with OSHA standards and company safety policies

What You Bring to Us:

• Experience in maintenance preferred and/or 1-2 years of experience preferred
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency preferred but not required in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair
• Availability for emergency situations at the property, including an on-call rotation
• Personal, reliable transportation to get to work and to respond to on-call emergencies
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Basic computer skills and comfort using various software, apps and computer programs
