Job summary

PCE, Inc. in Lincoln, NE, is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of plant equipment to keep production running smoothly.

You will perform emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, and routine checks while adhering to ISO guidelines and safety regulations.

Ideal candidates have a 2-year degree in mechanical/electrical fields or equivalent experience, strong communication, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a self-directed environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds frequently.
  • Willingness to learn and keep up with current technologies.
  • Ability to crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and work at heights.
  • Good basic math skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Lean, 5S, and TPM is a plus.

  • Perform various building maintenance activities inside and outside the plant.

SUMMARY: Responsible for troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of all plant equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repair of production equipment to support production.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance of equipment as necessary.
  • Emergency repairs may alter break and lunch times; however, break and lunch times will be given.
  • Perform thorough preventive maintenance checks on a routine schedule.
  • Perform mechanical work including, but not limited to, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines and facility equipment.
  • Comply with ISO guidelines, OSHA safety and health regulations, and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
  • Perform various building maintenance activities inside and outside the plant.
Requirements

Education / Experience
