Role Description

The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Lancaster, KY, responsible for supporting the overall upkeep, safety, and functionality of apartment community facilities. This role performs routine and emergency maintenance tasks, including diagnosing issues, repairing equipment, and completing work orders in a timely, professional manner. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting inspections, performing preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment, and coordinating with property management to prioritize maintenance needs. The Maintenance Technician also assists with unit turns, common area repairs, and grounds upkeep, while ensuring all work meets safety standards and complies with relevant codes. Collaboration with residents, vendors, and team members is essential to provide responsive, high-quality service that supports a comfortable living environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Industrial Maintenance for building systems, appliances, and mechanical components.
• Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting and Maintenance & Repair to diagnose issues, perform corrective actions, and resolve service requests efficiently.
• Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance to conduct regular inspections, maintain equipment longevity, and reduce repair needs.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry, with the ability to use standard hand and power tools safely.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organization skills, with the ability to handle multiple work orders and priorities.
• Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with residents, team members, and vendors.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Previous maintenance experience in residential or multifamily properties preferred; relevant certifications or technical training are a plus.
