Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Must follow safety protocols and company safety standards.
  • Technical expertise with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect machinery, equipment, and systems to identify issues and ensure proper functioning.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment in good condition.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools and expertise.
  • Perform repairs or replace parts as necessary.
  • Work with electrical and mechanical systems within the facility.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders.
  • Generate and close work orders in operating systems.

Job Summary

A maintenance technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and systems within a facility. This role is essential for ensuring that all equipment is operating efficiently, minimizing downtime, and preventing costly breakdowns.

Job Responsibilities
  • Inspect machinery, equipment, and systems to identify issues and ensure they are functioning properly and efficiently. This includes conducting routine inspections, checking for leaks, and testing equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to keep equipment in good working condition and prevent breakdowns
  • Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment and systems, using diagnostic tools and their own expertise
  • Perform repairs or replace parts as necessary
  • Work with both electrical and mechanical systems within the facility
  • Respond to emergency repair requests to address urgent issues and minimize downtime
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate work, share information, and address issues
  • Must keep work area clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Generates work orders and closes them in operating systems once they are completed
  • May be required to be on-call
  • Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Vocational or technical training certificate or associate's degree in related field a plus
  • At least 2 year of experience in a relevant field
  • Must be able to follow safety protocols and adhere to company safety standards
  • Must have technical expertise of mechanical and electrical systems, problem-solving ability, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and communication skills
  • Ability to diagnose issues with equipment and systems by using diagnostic tools, observing symptoms, and testing components
  • Skilled in the use of a wide range of hand and power tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, impact wrenches, and pneumatic tools
  • Ability to work effectively in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
