Role Description

The Maintenance Technician role at Nifco America Corp. is a full-time, on-site position based in La Vergne, TN. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to support safe and efficient manufacturing operations. Daily tasks include performing scheduled preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing repairs, and documenting maintenance activities. The Maintenance Technician collaborates with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role may involve working with injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and general plant infrastructure while adhering to all safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong equipment maintenance skills, including Maintenance & Repair of production machinery and support systems.
• Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Industrial Maintenance within a manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
• Experience with Preventive Maintenance programs, including inspections, routine servicing, and documentation.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems used in industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement practices.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in plastics manufacturing or injection molding maintenance is a plus.
