Job summary

Reilly Foam Corporation seeks a Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep of foam converting machinery and facility systems. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and document repairs on work orders.

Reading schematics and blueprints, supporting set-ups and upgrades, and maintaining spare parts inventory are essential responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years hands-on maintenance in manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Familiarity with reading technical manuals, schematics and blueprints.

**Job Summary and Key Objectives**This position is responsible for overseeing both the machinery and mechanical equipment located at the facility. *Essential Functions:*Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on foam converting equipment, facility systems, and facilities maintenance.• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.• Maintain and calibrate production machinery including slitters, laminators, presses, and CNC foam cutters.• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.• Document maintenance activities and repairs using work orders.• Work with Production to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.• Assists with machine set-ups, movements, layouts, adjustments, upgrades, equipment installations, and continuous improvement projects.• Maintains spare part inventory and work area.• Assists with fixtures, gages, and special equipment as needed.• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. *Competencies:*• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems including gears, belts, bearings, and motors.• Ability to identify and resolve issues with wiring, sensors, relays, and control panels.• Skilled in maintaining and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic systems.• Capable of executing scheduled maintenance tasks (Preventive Maintenance) to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.• Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively.• Clear verbal and written communication with Production Supervisor and team. Preferred Competencies:• Familiarity with foam converting equipment such as slitters, laminators, die cutters, CNC routers, and presses.• Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers and automated systems.• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S principles.• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus. *Supervisory Responsibility:*Position has no supervisory responsibility. *Work Environment:*The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment. **Preferred Education/Experience: **Education:Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or mechanical technology. Associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field a plus. Experience: 3-5 years of maintenance experience specifically in foam converting or related industries (e.g., plastics, textiles, packaging). Exposure to PLC troubleshooting, automation systems, and VFDs.
