Bowen Scarff Ford in Kent, WA seeks an Express Lane Service Technician to perform fast-paced maintenance such as oil and filter changes, fluid checks, tire inspections, and basic repairs. This role emphasizes efficiency and accuracy within a Ford dealership setting.

The ideal candidate will have Ford certification or dealership experience, the ability to lift 50 pounds, strong analytical and communication skills, and solid computer basics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ford Certification or dealership experience is a plus.
• Ability to identify the problem quickly and accurately.
• Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Follow service and repair procedures listed by OE publications.
• Identify abnormal or problematic systems needing further attention.
• Isolate systems or components that might have caused the problem.
• Drive the vehicle for testing and verification purposes.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of breakdown or damage.
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform tasks.

Job description

This role will mainly be focused on fast paced vehicle maintenance procedures. Including fluid checks, basic needed items, vehicle inspection reports, and tire repairs. Typically, an Express Lane Service Technician will change a vehicle's oil and filter, check other vital fluid condition and levels, inspect various belts & hoses, vehicle filters, and check tire condition / pressures.

Express Lane Service Technician Responsibilities

• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment
• High school diploma or GED
• Technical degree preferred
• ASE certifications preferred
• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
