Job summary

CKS Packaging, Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our Kansas City facility.

The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and preventive maintenance of blow molding and packaging production equipment, with emphasis on hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills, and availability for 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:00pm).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills; knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical assemblies.
• Experience repairing and maintaining industrial machinery and production equipment.
• Preferred experience in plastics, blow molding, injection molding, or similar manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on production equipment, mechanical systems, and facility utilities.
• Diagnose issues with motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting (basic to intermediate), including sensors, switches, and control wiring.
• Perform equipment inspections and identify potential mechanical or electrical failures before they impact production.
• Support machine installations, equipment changeovers, and production line startups as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies.
• Collaborate with production team to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and equipment. Candidates with experience in blow molding, injection molding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial electrical systems are encouraged to apply.

Shift Availability:
2nd: Monday through Friday (most Saturday's), 3:00pm-11:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on production equipment, mechanical systems, and facility utilities
