Job summary

Novolex in Jerome, Idaho is seeking a Maintenance Technician to manage electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on a rotating 7am–7pm schedule. The position offers a $28.00–$34.00 hourly rate and a $2,000 sign-on bonus, with pre-employment checks and a hiring event on July 9, 2026.

You will troubleshoot wiring, read schematics, maintain gear, belts, motors, and drives, and support safety and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in maintenance preferred.
• Electrical training/experience with 480V 3-phase systems.
• Experience with VFD drives and PLCs preferred.
• Able to read schematics and troubleshoot automation equipment.

Maintenance Technician|Jerome, Idaho| Now Hiring

The Jerome site is hosting a hiring event on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Compensation:

• $28.00-$34.00 per hour

Available Shift:

• 7am-7pm (rotating days and nights every 63 days, 2-2-3 schedule)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repair, replace, or install various power transmission systems and components including electrical and mechanical devices, such as gears, pulleys, sprockets, belts of various designs, bearings, drive shafts, and couplings.
• Repair, replace, or install various pneumatics systems and components, including such items as air lines and cylinders, valves, solenoids, pipe, manifolds, and pneumatic circuits.
• Repair, replace, or install various single and three phase electrical systems and components, such as motors, switches, wiring, conduit, motor starters, contractors, fuses, light bulbs, encoders, and circuit breakers.
• Repair, replace, or install various hydraulic systems and components to include but not limited to: cylinders, pumps, valves, solenoids, motors, hose, pipe and manifolds.
• Safely use a variety of maintenance tools and equipment.
• Fluently reads and uses multi-meters to identify the presence of voltage.
• Ability to troubleshoot wiring schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot automation equipment.

Qualifications:

• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
• Performs the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a Maintenance position preferred.
• Electrical training/experience with 480 3 phases/machine controls.
• Experience with VFD Drives and PLCs preferred.
• Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs, and procedures required.
• Forklift experience helpful.
• Ability to successfully multitask in a fast pace environment.

• Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management.
