Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot in Jensen Beach, FL is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to perform basic repairs, general grounds and lawn maintenance to homes owned by the community.

You will handle work orders, preventative maintenance, make-ready for vacant units, and assist in maintaining grounds and common areas while delivering high levels of customer service to tenants, vendors, and staff. On-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, HVAC, and carpentry is a plus.
• Ability to perform repairs and maintenance as part of a maintenance team.
• Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds and to work in restricted spaces.

We are presently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team for our community located in Jensen Beach, Florida. In this role, you’ll performbasic repairs,general grounds and lawn maintenanceto homes owned by the community.

As a successful Maintenance Technician, you will:

• Perform assigned work orders, as well as preventative maintenance on the property.
• Completes the “make-ready” process to prepare vacant units for leasing and new move-ins.
• Assist in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash and debris.
• Document work orders in a timely, accurate, and complete fashion to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain proper inventory of materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and other items.
• Ensure to consistently provide a high level of customer service to tenants, vendors and staff.
• Remain available for “on-call” duties as needed.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, HVAC, and carpentry is a plus.
• Valid operator’s license.
• Ability to lift or to move up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, walk continuously, and access restricted spaces.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to various chemical compounds
