Doss Enterprises LC is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep of our Corporate Headquarters and other facilities in the Jane Lew, WV area. The role combines hands-on maintenance with coordinating repairs with outside vendors as needed.

The ideal candidate will perform routine maintenance on buildings, grounds, and equipment, troubleshoot various trades, and ensure safety and cleanliness across sites.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in building, grounds or facilities maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to operate basic electrical/plumbing/carpentry tasks safely.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, fixtures, and grounds.
  • Troubleshoot minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical issues.
  • Coordinate maintenance projects across locations and with vendors.
  • Keep facilities clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Light landscaping, snow removal, and outdoor upkeep as needed.
  • Respond to maintenance emergencies and maintain records.

Job description

We are seeking a dependable and self-motivated Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance, repair, cleanliness, and general upkeep of our Corporate Headquarters and additional company facilities throughout the Jane Lew, West Virginia area. This position is responsible for ensuring that all buildings, grounds, and exterior areas remain safe, clean, functional, and well-maintained.The ideal candidate will possess general maintenance skills, be capable of working independently, and take pride in maintaining company facilities to a high standard. This role requires both hands-on maintenance work and coordination of repairs with outside vendors when necessary.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, fixtures, and grounds.Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical issues.Coordinate and complete maintenance projects across multiple company locations.Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of facilities, including common areas, offices, parking lots, and grounds.Replace light bulbs, fixtures, and other building components as needed.Remove trash and ensure facilities remain organized and presentable.Mow grass, trim landscaping, and maintain outdoor areas.Remove snow and ice from walkways, parking areas, and entrances; apply salt and ice melt during inclement weather.Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance services.Maintain maintenance records, supplies, and equipment.Assist with facility improvements, renovations, and special projects.Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies as needed.BenefitsCompetitive pay based on experienceHealth and retirement benefits (if applicable)Paid time offStable, year-round employmentOpportunity to work independently and make a direct impact on company operationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous experience in building, grounds, or facilities maintenance preferred.Working knowledge of general maintenance practices, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.Ability to operate lawn care equipment, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Ability to travel between company facilities within the Jane Lew, WV area.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, stoop, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Ability to perform snow removal and other physically demanding tasks as required.
