Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Jacksonville plant. The role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment with a six-month probation and skills check list to attain topout.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and five+ years in an industrial maintenance environment, with experience in mechanical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics, vibration analysis, thermography, and CMMS usage.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required.
• Five or more years' experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance employee.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic inspections and checks of equipment to identify issues.
• Assemble/disassemble machines for repairs and replacements, maintaining safety and production goals.
• Troubleshoot to identify root causes and determine parts and follow-up actions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Maintenance Technician position supports the plant by checking, inspecting, troubleshooting,repairing, replacing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment. This position has a sixmonth probationary period to gain the knowledge and complete the skills check list to attain topout.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine whetherfailures or issues are present and determine how soon the corrections/adjustments may needto be made
• Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace with new items while maintaining safety and production goals in mind
• Troubleshoot equipment to identify root cause(s) and suggest appropriate follow-up actions
• Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts
• Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work instructions, identify parts that belong to machines, and fully document work performed
• Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations
• Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock check-out processes
• Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in a organized manner so that materials can be accessed quickly and reliably
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education: High school diploma

Required Work Experience: Five or more years’ experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance employeeperforming Preventive (planned) and Corrective (unplanned) Maintenance

• Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas:
• Mechanical
  Power Transmission – chains, belts, gearboxes, bearings, brakes, couplings, etc.
  Lubrication – oils, greases, storage and handling, application, etc.
  Hydraulics & Pneumatics – valves, actuators, compressors and pumps, piping andtubing, etc.
• Associates degree or 2+ years of vocational training
• Experience with maintenance technologies such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography,Ultrasound Inspection, Oil Analysis, and Precision Alignment
• Certifications in mechanical/industrial fields (electrician, millwright, welding, etc.)
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT)

Additional Requirements:

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

PAY: $41.10

Shift: 5:15am - 3:45pm (10 hour shift) or 4am - 4pm (12 hour shift)
