Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep equipment ready for production, perform inspections and prepare daily/weekly reports. You’ll diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of fixed mechanical equipment, systems and machinery.

You will follow safety and environmental policies, complete required paperwork, and contribute to a culture of safety. Location Utah; travel minimal. Amrize North America is an equal opportunity employer with accommodation support available.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in mechanical repair, installation and construction in heavy industry.
  • Working knowledge of basic mechanical aptitude and general plant maintenance.
  • Experience operating a skid-steer or man-lift is a plus.
  • Stick welding, arc welding, and light fabrication are a plus.
  • Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment per manufacturer intervals.
  • Inspect equipment and report repairs to the supervisor.
  • Perform emergency repairs to address plant breakdowns.
  • Adhere to safety, environmental and company policies; complete paperwork promptly.
  • Promote safety culture and follow health, safety, and environmental policies.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment in a state of readiness. Preforms the appropriate production equipment inspections and preventative maintenance. Prepares all required daily/weekly department operating reports. This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of fixed mechanical equipment, systems and machinery.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Schedules and performs preventative maintenance on plan equipment by following the manufacture’s recommended service intervals and company procedures. Maintains an inventory of regularly required replacement parts.
  • Inspects condition and operation of plant equipment and performs necessary repairs and adjustments. Reports required repairs or other findings to Supervisor.
  • Performs required emergency repairs on production equipment required to address plant breakdowns.
  • Adheres to all safety, environmental and company policies and procedures in completing daily tasks, and completes all required paperwork in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience: 2+ years’ experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in heavy industry

  • Must have a working knowledge of basic mechanical aptitude, general plant maintenance experience - change screens, welding, cutting torch, wrenching (hand tools)
  • Operating a skid-steer, man-lift a plus.
  • Stick welding, arc welding, and lite fabrication a plus
  • Must have basic computer skills
Additional Requirements
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
