Job summary

Häfele America Co. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in our distribution center and manufacturing environments.

You will read schematics, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with production, engineering, and operations while upholding safety and OSHA lockout/tagout policies. Forklift certification may be required; a proactive problem-solver with strong technical skills and a safety-first mindset is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver’s license is required.
• Forklift certification may be pursued after hire.
• Experience in facilities, maintenance, warehouse, or electrical work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on equipment.
• Install and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, drives, panels, relays, sensors, and conveyors.
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
• Inspect equipment and identify opportunities for improvements.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and maintenance requests.
• Maintain maintenance records and work orders.
• Support facility maintenance: lighting, distribution systems, building equipment.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and operations to resolve issues.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.

Essential Functions

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on manufacturing and warehouse equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, drives, control panels, relays, sensors, and conveyors.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
• Inspect equipment and identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment upgrades.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
• Support facility maintenance activities, including lighting, electrical distribution systems, and building equipment.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and operations teams to resolve equipment issues and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to operate forklifts, and other facility equipment safely.
• Ability to work in warehouse, distribution center, and production environments.

Work Environment

This position works primarily in a distribution center and warehouse environment with exposure to moving equipment, varying temperatures, and industrial machinery. Compliance with all safety procedures and use of appropriate PPE is required.
