Job summary

Fitch Irick Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our property-management team in Greenville, SC. You will perform routine and emergency repairs, maintenance, and unit turnovers to keep our communities safe and inviting for residents.

We value proactive, detail-oriented professionals who can work independently or with others. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel between properties are required; EPA/CFC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• EPA/CFC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Property Care: take ownership of the upkeep of grounds, buildings, and amenities.
• Preventative Maintenance: perform routine maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Timely Repairs: respond quickly and professionally to maintenance requests.
• Unit Turnovers: ready units for new residents after move-outs.
• Emergency Response: handle urgent repairs and document incidents for insurance.
• Compliance: maintain safety and Fair Housing standards.

As a Maintenance Technician at Fitch Irick, you’ll play a key role in keeping our properties running smoothly and safely. Your Impact

• Property Care: Take ownership of the upkeep of the grounds, buildings, and amenities. This includes cleaning, trash removal, and regular inspections to ensure everything looks and functions at its best.
• Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance to prevent issues before they arise. You’ll make sure all systems—HVAC, plumbing, electrical—are operating smooth.
• Timely Repairs: Respond quick and professionally to maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption for residents.
• Unit Turnovers: When residents move out, you’ll help get units ready for the next resident, ensuring each space is clean, functional, and up to Fitch Irick’s high standards.
• Emergency Response: Handle emergency repairs efficiently and ensure incidents are documented for insurance purposes.
• Compliance: Keep the property compliant with all safety regulations and Fair Housing standards.

Who We’re Looking For

• Experience: At least 1 year of general maintenance experience is required. Experience in property management is a plus.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset.
• Physical Stamina: This role requires physical work, including lifting up to 100 pounds, bending, stooping, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Team Player: You should be reliable, collaborative, and able to take ownership of your tasks.
• Certifications: EPA/CFC certification is preferred
