Job summary

Miami Valley Community Action Partnership (MVCAP) is seeking a dependable and hands-on Part-Time Maintenance Technician to support maintenance and upkeep of agency facilities and housing properties throughout Darke County.

This 25-hour-per-week, Monday–Friday role requires basic maintenance skills, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and the ability to work independently while documenting tasks in email and work-order systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of maintenance, facilities, custodial, property management, construction, or related experience.
• General knowledge of building repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Basic computer and email skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize assignments.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties.
• Trade or vocational training in maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or related area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance and general building repairs.
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, fixture, and appliance repairs.
• Respond to and complete maintenance work orders.
• Conduct routine facility and housing-unit inspections.
• Perform general custodial duties and help maintain clean and safe facilities.
• Assist with mowing, landscaping, snow removal, salting, and seasonal property upkeep.
• Monitor basic building and safety equipment and complete routine maintenance such as replacing filters and batteries.
• Maintain maintenance, repair, inspection, and inventory records using email and electronic work-order systems.
• Travel between MVCAP facilities and properties throughout Darke County and other service locations as needed.

Part-Time Maintenance Technician – Darke County

Miami Valley Community Action Partnership (MVCAP) is seeking a dependable and hands-on Part-Time Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and upkeep of agency facilities and housing properties throughout Darke County.

This is a PART-TIME ONLY position working 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Pay: $18.00–$19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 25 hours per week
Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

What You'll Do

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance and general building repairs.

• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, fixture, and appliance repairs within your experience and training.

• Respond to and complete maintenance work orders.
