Job summary

Evapco is seeking a maintenance-oriented technician to ensure reliable capacity across assets. You will perform repairs, preventive and predictive maintenance, and assist with capital projects while documenting actions for asset reliability.

Role requires basic reading of drawings/BOMs, use of measurement tools, and proficiency with Word/Excel. On-site work with potential overtime, safety training, and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0–1 year of maintenance-related work experience or equivalent education.
  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings and BOMs.
  • Ability to use measuring devices used in production.
  • Proficiency with Word and Excel; ability to learn EVAPCO software programs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repair, preventative, and predictive maintenance on assets.
  • Document work orders with required information for asset reliability.
  • Follow diagrams, manuals, and specs to operate equipment safely.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, teammates, and supervision.
  • Support continuous improvement and capital project installations.
  • Maintain safe work practices and high quality standards.

Job description

Overview

This position will be directly responsible for performing activities that promote Reliable Capacity of all Evapco Assets. This will include, but is not limited to, activities such as repairing, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, continuous improvement, and capital project installations.

  • Safety: Execute and comply with all Safety Standards required by Evapco.
  • Quality: Complete job tasks to provide the highest level of opportunity for our Assets to achieve maximum efficiency for our customers.

  • Efficiently and effectively communicate with customers, teammates, and supervision of job assignments, continuous improvement ideas, and critical asset opportunities.
  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing work orders following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Document work order completion with all required information for sustainability of Asset Reliability.
  • Job tasks can include maintaining, inspecting, repairing all Assets.

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
  • We are seeking an individual with a desire to learn, grow, and provide fanatical customer service to our Production Team.
  • 0 - 1 year of work experience in the maintenance environment or equivalent work experience and education.
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings and BOMs required
  • Use and understanding of various measuring devices, common to support the equipment used in our production processes.
  • Has demonstrated the ability to recognize problems
  • Can deal with conflict in a positive manner
  • Word, Excel knowledge and ability to learn all EVAPCO software-based programs
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Primarily works at ground level, but requires periodic work at up to 40 feet on ladders, scaffolding, or lifts.
  • Constant lifting of many different parts, tools, and assemblies; may exceed 50 lbs.
  • Some work requires crawling, squatting, bending, kneeling, and working in awkward positions at times.
  • Requires good mechanical hand coordination and cognitive abilities.
  • Temperature extremes, generally from 20°F to 110°F.
  • Requires very good agility (i.e., bending, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, squatting, twisting, and lifting)
  • Driving forklifts and operating cranes
  • Normal work week Monday through Friday, with possible Saturday work and some Sunday work
