Position Summary
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, facility systems, and property to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair injection molding machines ranging from 75 to 1,500 tons.
- Maintain and repair auxiliary and support equipment, including conveyors, grinders, pneumatic systems, water heaters, and related systems.
- Diagnose electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical problems and complete appropriate repairs in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot robots, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), vision systems, and other automated equipment; make approved adjustments and repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.
- Fabricate and construct tooling for robots and manufacturing assembly equipment as needed.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and service requests.
- Accurately document inspections, repairs, parts used, and preventive maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures.
- Perform general facility, property, and grounds maintenance as assigned.
- Follow lockout/tagout requirements, machine-guarding rules, personal protective equipment requirements, and all other company safety procedures.

- Work cooperatively and professionally with team members at all levels of the Company.
- Represent Grand Haven Custom Molding in a professional and ethical manner consistent with the Company's values and expectations.
- Maintain an orderly work area and perform other related duties as assigned to support production and business needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential required.
- Previous industrial maintenance or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment systematically, make sound decisions, and complete repairs safely.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and written work instructions.
- PLC programming or diagnostic knowledge preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, attention-to-detail, and continuous-improvement skills.
- Availability to work overtime as needed based on customer and production demands.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, climb, and work around production equipment.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, pull, and handle tools, parts, and equipment as required, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Additional Assignment Statement
Grand Haven Custom Molding may temporarily assign any team member duties outside of their normal responsibilities. Such assignments may be warranted due to a variety of specific requirements, conditions, and/or capabilities of available personnel. Management will determine the nature and duration of those assignments.
