Job summary

Scoular seeks a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain plant equipment across production, utilities and facilities. You will troubleshoot pumps and mechanical systems, analyze issues, and implement corrective actions to sustain production quality.

You will complete tasks and preventive maintenance with proper documentation, following SOPs and safety policies to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of work experience preferred.
• Demonstrates good communication and written skills.
• Able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, in loud noise environments and dusty environments.
• Capable of working in elevated areas above 4 feet and in confined spaces.
• Able to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling and twisting safely.
• Adheres to PPE policies.
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts and odd hours/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Repair gearboxes, drive couplings, chain drives and belt drives.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps (centrifugal, piston, rotary and other positive displacement).
• Analyze mechanical and operational problems and plan corrective actions.
• Make corrections and running adjustments to maximize production and quality.
• Complete tasks, work orders and preventive maintenance with appropriate documentation per SOPs and standards.

Job description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs and upkeep of plant operational equipment including production, utilities and facilities. This role will also be required to follow all safety policies and perform their duty in a safe manner.

• Repair gearboxes, drive couplings, chain drives and belt drives.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, centrifugal, piston, rotary and other positive displacement pumps.
• Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action.
• Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
• Timely completion of tasks, work orders, and preventative maintenance items with appropriate documentation according to standard operating procedures, applicable standards, guidelines and policies.

About You

• High School Diploma/GED required
• 2 or more years of work experience preferred
