Job summary

Tramec Sloan in Galion, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and support continuous improvement projects in an industrial setting.

The ideal candidate has welding/fabrication experience and can read schematics, with 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance; shifts are Monday-Thursday 6:00am–4:30pm; comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) and metal fabrication.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of PLC’s or programming considered a plus.
• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnosing equipment failures and implementing effective countermeasures.
• Perform welding and metal fabrication for repairs, modifications, and projects.
• Support installation, upgrade, and relocation of manufacturing equipment.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, PM logs, and work orders.
• Perform plantwide facility repairs as needed.
• Ensure all work completed is compliant with safety standards and company policies.

Shift

Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm but hours could vary

Position Summary

This highly skilled and diversified role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment failure, supporting continuous improvement projects, and maintaining production and facility equipment. The ideal candidate has direct experience with welding, fabrication, and diagnosing mechanical and electrical systems in industrial equipment.
