Job summary

Alutiiq Solutions, LLC is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician to support DoS facility operations under the Consolidated Facility Services (CFS) task order. The role performs preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repair services across building systems to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient facility operations.

It uses Maximo to document all maintenance activities in alignment with KPIs and AQLs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years in facilities maintenance or related trades.
• EPA 608 Certification.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, drawings and specs.
• Experience using a CMMS, Maximo preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems.
• Execute work orders in Maximo with accurate documentation.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and repair to minimize downtime.
• Inspect facility systems and identify deficiencies.
• Assist with minor repairs (carpentry, drywall, painting).
• Support idle equipment uptime and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with Work Control for scheduling and priorities.
• Provide after-hours or on-call support as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized, safe work areas and manage inventory.

POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Alutiiq Solutions, LLC is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician to support facility operations under the Consolidated Facility Services (CFS) Task Order for the Department of State. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repair services across building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient facility operations. This role supports Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) practices and utilizes the Government’s Enterprise Resource Planning System (Maximo) to execute and document all maintenance activities in alignment with contract requirements, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Acceptable Quality Levels (AQLs).

• Performs preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) on building systems and equipment to ensure reliable and efficient facility operations.
• Executes work orders in Maximo, ensuring accurate documentation, timely completion, and compliance with contract requirements.
• Troubleshoots equipment failures and performs repairs to restore system functionality and minimize operational disruption.
• Conducts routine inspections of facility systems and identifies deficiencies or potential failures for corrective action.
• Supports minor facility repairs, including carpentry, drywall, and painting, to maintain the overall condition of the built environment.
• Supports critical equipment uptime requirements to ensure continuity of mission operations and adherence to performance standards.
• Follows Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles to optimize asset performance and extend equipment lifecycle.
• Adheres to all safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and Department of State policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Coordinates with Work Control to prioritize, schedule, and execute maintenance activities efficiently.
• Supports emergency response efforts, including after-hours or on-call support, as required to address system failures.
• Maintains tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Assist with inventory tracking and materials management to support maintenance operations and cost control.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or related trades.
• EPA 608 Certification
• Demonstrate experience working with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems.
• Able to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and specifications.
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), with Maximo preferred.
• Possess or be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications or Skills

• Experience supporting federal or DoS facilities.
• Familiarity with RCM practices.
• Experience in secure environments.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
• Multi-skilled technician capability.
