Job summary

Thepearlrehabcenter in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a range of skilled building trades, including carpentry, painting, minor electrical, and plumbing, to keep our facilities safe and functional.

You will assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing roofs, furniture, doors, shelving, and other structures; you may also prepare and paint walls, refinish woodwork, and handle custodial tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform semiskilled tasks of a general nature in maintenance, repair and construction tasks for the upkeep of the building.
• Assist and perform installation, maintenance, repair and construction work in basic building maintenance trades, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, carpet, and mechanics.
• Assist and perform functions in the construction, installation and maintenance of roofs, furniture, fences, cabinets, shelving, marker boards/chalkboards, tack boards and other structures and items.
• Prepare and paint walls and woodwork or perform other refinishing; install or repair carpet; perform custodial duties as required.
