Job summary

Berkshire Residential Investments in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our people-first team. You will be cheerful, performance-driven, resident-focused, and willing to go the extra mile to keep our properties in top condition.

Key duties include preserving physical attributes, supporting management, enforcing safety, maintaining shop and inventory, and ensuring curb appeal. Experience in appliances, plumbing, electrical, carpentry is preferred, and strong English

Qualifications

• At least one year prior experience in the maintenance needs of a community.
• Working knowledge of appliances, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building maintenance.
• Proficient in writing, speaking and understanding the English language.
• Able to use computers and related applications.
• The candidate is a versatile jack of all trades.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive preservation of the property's physical attributes.
• Provide support to management in upholding standards, policies and procedures.
• Ensure safety measures are enforced.
• Maintain shop, equipment, inventory control and key security.
• Act as an inspector to maintain property curb appeal.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and teammates.

• Will own and help drive the preservation of the property's physical attributes
• Provide complete support to management in upholding community and corporate standards, policies and procedures
• Ensure that all safety measures are enforced
• Assist in maintaining the shop, company equipment, inventory control and ensuring key security
• Be an inspector! Curb appeal is imperative, make sure the property looks its’ best
• Provide excellent customer service to all prospective and existing residents and your teammates

At least one year prior experience in the maintenance needs of a community

Current anticipated base hourly salary range: $25.72 - $26.92/ base annual salary range: $53,500 – $56,000. Base salary within the range will be determined by various factors including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and other factors permitted by law.

The role is also eligible for the following benefits:
